Al-Rastan Company for Cement and Building Materials is one of the General Organization for Cement of the Ministry of Industry in Damascus. The Company Was founded pursuant to licensing decision No /449/ of 07-09-1959 and production started in September 1960 it was made a n independent company in the foundation decree no /1244/ of 16-07-1977.

- Annual Production Capacity available is /119,000/ tons of clinker equivalent to /131,000/ tons one production line working on the wet method.

- The product is black Portland Cement according to Syrian Standard No. 1887 Class 32.5 and highly resistant and fine cement which is used in injecting soil in dams according to Syrian Standard /44/ of 1980.

- Since 1998 the Company started producing cement for oil wells according to Standard of the American Petrolium Institute (API) Claa G which was previously imported in foreign currency. At present the Company covers all local market requirements of this product and is the only company producing this Kind of cement.

The Company executes its production plans in a high manner and with a good economic return.
